    "The Harvest Suite"
    - A collaborative journey written by John Psathas and Adam Page.
Adam Page - Solo Tenor Saxophone with loop pedals and effects

WORLD PREMIERE PERFORMANCE - Downstage Theatre, Wellington - 13/02/2011

Recorded by Riki Gooch and Vic Parsons. Edited and mixed by Adam Page. Live sound by Marc Edwards.

    - TEXT FROM THE PRESS RELEASE LEADING UP TO THE PREMIERE -

Australian Multi-Instrumentalist and winner of BEST MUSIC and BEST SOLO SHOW
at the 2009 NZ Fringe, Adam Page teams up with 'Olympic' composer John
Psathas to present a collaborative composition for Solo Saxophone and
looping pedals. Avid appreciators of each others work, Psathas and Page are
ecstatic to be finally collaborating on such an important composition as the
world of 'looping' is certainly growing, and a composition such as this will
surely be recognised as an innovative step forward for this style of
    performance.
The nature of the collaboration (made possible thanks to an Arts SA
"Musician in residence" grant) will see Page and Psathas writing the suite
together in Wellington in the weeks proceeding the premiere. Using Page's
planned move to Wellington late 2011 as an inspiration, the suite will
involve many looping and saxophone techniques to create a beautiful, fully
    composed soundscape in four parts.

  • WOMADelaide, 2011 - First Improvisation

Performed on Monday the 14th of March at WOMADelaide, 2011. Botanic Park, Adelaide on the Moreton Bay stage.
This is a musical reaction to the Japanese tsunami that was happening at the time of this recording. Also the first tune I played in my solo set.
